Lawmakers remember the incident and use it as a reminder for different types of clean energy


Pinellas County, Florida -- In Pinellas county, St. Pete Mayor Rick Kriseman joined lawmakers and researchers in marking four years since the BP Oil spill.

Eleven people died in the oil rig explosion and spill had devastating effects to the Gulf of Mexico.

Kriseman remarked that the spill should remind us to focus on different types of energy.

BP continues to accept claims from businesses that believe the spill caused them to lose business.
