Tampa, Florida -- Hillsborough County Fire Rescue put out a fire at a single family home just a little after 4 a.m. Sunday morning.

When crews arrived at the home in the 13500 block of Lake Magdalene Dr. they found the single family home, heavily involved with fire, and all occupants out. Because of the heavy fire load and confirmation that all occupants were out of the structure, crews took a defensive mode meaning they fought to contain the fire and protect exposures

However, crews were able to get inside once the fire was under control and carry out the extinguishment, searches and overhaul, where firefighters preserve and protect what they can of the structure and contents.

There were two adult occupants in the home at the time of the fire, and escaped uninjured. It was also reported that the smoke alarms did activate during the fire.

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue investigators are on scene to determine the cause of the fire. No firefighters were injured during he firefighting efforts.
