Tampa, Florida -- Two students were taken to an area hospital Friday afternoon after they had trouble breathing while riding home on a Hillsborough County school bus.
Hillsborough School officials say a 14-year-old girl started gasping for air while the bus was in the area of I-275 and Bearss Avenue. A nearby deputy heard the call for assistance and got on the bus and calmed the girl down. As he was calming her down, two other girls said they were having trouble breathing.
Two of the girls were taken to St. Joseph's Hospital and the third was picked up by her parents.
Authorities say there was no chemical found on the bus and fire rescue thinks it was just hot on the bus. Officials say the girls are going to be fine.
