Lutz, Florida -- One man is dead after a domestic on Thursday night in Lutz.
Deputies checking on a domestic dispute call found a man's body at a home on Oakhaven Court.
Investigators say 42-year-old Erick Von Reinhart went to the home on Oakhaven Court to confront his ex-wife and her new boyfriend. Once inside, Reinhart confronted the boyfriend and stabbed him to death using a large knife he brought with him.
When deputies arrived, the boyfriend was dead and Reinhart was found bleeding heavily from self-inflicted stab wounds to his neck and abdomen. He was taken to a local hospital by helicopter. He has not been charged with the murder of the boyfriend, but those charges are imminent.
It was later discovered Reinhart left his 5- and 6-year-old children at his home in Hillsborough County while he went to the home. Neither of the children, ex-wife or her sister were harmed in the attack.
