No one was seriously injured after a car lost its braking abilities.
Pinellas Park, Florida -- A car, with inoperable brakes, crashed into multiple vehicles along Park Boulevard on Saturday.
30-year-old Katherine Langston was driving her Cadillac Fleetwood westbound on Park Blvd in the median lane. As she approached Belcher Road, she noticed the red light and attempted to break.
The first vehicle she hit was a Ford Escape in the center lane. The driver of the Escape was not injured and the Cadillac continued down the road.
The Cadillac, heading westbound, then struck a Jeep Wrangler that was also in the median lane. The driver of that car was not injured, but the the front seat passenger, Ida Harris, was transported to Bayfront Hospital. As a result of being struck by the Cadillac, the Jeep hit a Volkswagen Tourage. Luckily the driver Volkswagen and her two teenage children were not injured.
After the Cadillac struck the Jeep, it struck a Nissan Rogue which had woman driving with her mother and daughter inside. The 5-month-old girl was taken to All Children's Hospital but not by ambulance. Due to the Nissan being struck by the Cadillac it then struck a Dodge Ram 1500 which was being driven by Minh Vo, who was transported to Northside Hospital.
After the Cadillac struck the Nissan, it rolled onto the passenger side where it made contact with a Dodge Grand Caravan which was being driven by woman with her husband and two young boys. All four were not injured.
Katherine, the Cadillac driver, and her passenger Morgan Williams, along with two young children were transported to Bayfront Hospital and All Children's Hospital respectively.
The patients of the crash that were transported to local hospitals have since been discharged.
