St. Petersburg, Florida -- A home that was used as an antique store was severely damaged after it caught fire on Tuesday.

St. Petersburg Fire & Rescue say when fire crews arrived at 1240 1/2 9th Street North, they found heavy black smoke and flames billowing from the front of the building.

The building was a house that had been converted into an antique store at one time, although it may have been abandoned. No one was in it at the time of the fire.
