Pinellas County, Florida -- Independence Day is a time to celebrate liberty and freedom with family and friends. This year, at three of Pinellas County's most popular parks, visitors can add free parking to the celebration as well.

On Friday, July 4, all parking fees will be waived at Pinellas County's Fort De Soto, Sand Key and Fred Howard parks. Visitors can enjoy the white, sandy beaches, blue-green waters of the Gulf of Mexico and the ample picnic and other amenities as they give three cheers for the red, white and blue.

Parking fees at the county's other beach access parks, including Indian Rocks Beach, Indian Shores/Tiki Gardens, Madeira Beach, Redington Shores and St. Pete Beach, will still be in effect.
