Largo, Florida -- Pinellas County Animal Services is celebrating Independence Day with a Freedom for Paws adoption event from Monday, June 30, through Wednesday, July 2.
During this celebration, the shelter will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. to give citizens more time to discover their perfect pet.
During this time and through Tuesday, July 15, the adoption fee will be $5 for all cats including kittens, $7 for large breed dogs, $14 for small breed dogs and $21 for puppies. The fee includes medical checkup, spaying/neutering, vaccinations, internal and external parasite control and micro chipping. The required Pinellas County license is also provided.
Pinellas County Animal Services is located at 12450 Ulmerton Road in Largo. Normal hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the adoption center closing at 5:30 p.m. Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and services include adoptions. Rabies vaccinations are administered on Thursdays from 1 to 4 p.m. The facility is closed on all Pinellas County holidays.
