Police said that on Wednesday, a temporary injunction for protection against domestic violence was served on 30-year-old Morales by the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

Then, on Thursday, Morales returned to the home in the 4400 block of Deeson Road and parked across the street from the home of the incident. She then called a friend and told her where she was and that she was going to harm herself and the children by driving into a lake.

She then disappeared with the children, 9-year-old Kayden Morales and 5-year-old Luis Morales III.
