Lakeland, Florida -- The Lakeland Police Department says they received information Wednesday evening in reference to locating the vehicle involved in the hit and run that killed 44-year-old Shelby Shull.

Detectives say two people have been interviewed and the vehicle, a 2006 Black Jeep Wrangler, is being held as evidence in the crime lab. There is damage to the hood area consistent with that of a collision.

Traffic Homicide Investigator Mike Catalano says the vehicle is being examined for forensic evidence at this time and the owner of the vehicle or driver's information is not being released due to the pending investigation.

The police department says investigators are confident that this vehicle is tied to the hit and run scene, however, further investigation is required before charges may be filed.
