Clearwater, Florida -- Volunteers from Current of Tampa Bay will spend Saturday, July 26, washing the laundry of low-income families in the Clearwater community.
The Laundry Project provides an opportunity for community volunteers to help those in need afford a simple, yet often unnoticed common necessity: washing and drying their clothes and linens.
The project will be held at Fresh Start Coin Laundry, located at 2922 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33670 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This is the fourth project that Current of Tampa Bay, Inc. has held at the Roosevelt Boulevard location and Current's President, Jason Sowell, is thrilled to be returning. "We are extremely grateful for the support from community members who make this happen and look forward to growing our Clearwater project locations in the future."
Current volunteers will be on hand to assist families where needed. Members of the community can also contribute by donating much needed supplies including: detergent, quarters (rolls of $10), one-gallon Ziploc bags, garbage bags, coloring books, crayons, fabric softener and laundry baskets.
