Bradenton, Florida -- A former Marine is speaking to 10 News Friday about being injured in a brawl a few years ago at the same Bradenton movie theater where a Riverview student was shot and killed at on the morning of July 28.

And those aren't the only times a brawl has broken out at the Royal Palm Theater off U.S. 301.

A video that went viral on Facebook before it was taken down, shows a brawl on July 19 that allegedly occurred at the same theater, a little over a week before 17-year-old Teria'le Rawls' death.

"Look -- 2,3,4,5 on one person," says Federico Freire, a former Marine, as he watches the video. "That video shocks me -- it does."

Four years ago, Freire was the victim at the center of a riot at the same theater.

"There was over 300 people that night if I remember correctly. You don't get over something like that," says Freire.

Freire, who didn't want to show his face on camera, was sent to the hospital with injuries to his head and back.

"I know that standard protocol would be to up security for nights like that on Christmas for the public's sake and to increase surveillance cameras, which I don't think they have outside," says Freire.

We contacted the movie theater's corporate offices, but haven't heard back about surveillance cameras on the property, but we do know that off-duty FHP troopers are hired by the theater for security.

But some parents still say that's not enough.

"Do you feel like when the crowds get really big, they are ready to handle it?" we asked one parent.

"No they could use more," says Tammy Weber, a mother of six.

According to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office, there haven't been any major issues at the theater since 2010, when Friere was violently attacked.

They've in fact only had two calls in the past two months: one being July 19 when this video was allegedly shot, and a week later on July 28 when Rawls was shot and killed.

"They need to have cameras or something," says Weber.

For Friere, he says cameras and extra officers need to be added because news like the death of a bubbly 17-year-old cheerleader needs to be stopped.

The Florida Highway Patrol wouldn't say how many troopers are here on a nightly basis for security reasons, but do suspect they'll have more following these two incidents. The sheriff's office also says that after hours teens like to hang out in parking lots, which they were doing when Rawls was shot and will be monitoring this area as well.
