Riverview, Florida -- Hillsborough County Fire Rescue responded to an early morning home fire in Riverview on Sunday.

Just after 3 a.m., fire crews responded to a fully involved mobile home on Krycul Avenue in Riverview. The crews were able to contain the fire and extinguish it and the residents were evacuated prior to our arrival. One resident was transported due to smoke inhalation. There were no injuries to personnel. The American Red Cross was initiated to help with the family's displacement.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

The family was alerted of the fire by functioning smoke alarms. The largest percentage of fire deaths in the home occurs at night while people are asleep. If you do not have smoke alarms in your home and can not afford them, please call HCFR at 813-272-6600 and ask about our SAFE program.
