Plant City, Florida -- All lanes are back open on Interstate 4 in Plant City, following a traffic accident that seriously injured one person.
The Florida Highway Patrol says a 2002 Ford van was driving eastbound on I-4 near State Road 39 (Paul Buchman Highway) when a tire blew out, causing the driver to lose control.
The van hit a concrete barrier wall and overturned, before coming to a rest on its roof, blocking the outside lane of traffic.
A passenger in the van, 35-year-old Antonio Braga, was flown to Tampa General Hospital.
A second vehicle, a Toyota Corolla, was also damaged after a bucket of pink paint was ejected from the Ford van and landed in the road. The Corolla ran over the bucket, damaging the side and undercarriage of the car.
