Tampa, Florida -- An early morning shooting outside of a downtown club left a 23-year-old man dead and the person who shot him is still on the loose.
According to the Tampa Police Department, the building at 802 East Whiting Street has had several calls within the past 12 months. It was formally known as the Underground, but Wednesday was the grand opening of the new District 3.
Jeremy Delgado was at the grand opening and returned to the crime scene outside the club Wednesday morning to pick up his motorcycle. But he was not able get to get it before because it was in the midst of a murder investigation.
"There were cops over there cops there, there," said Delgado.
The shooting happened just before 2 a.m. Detectives explained that a fight inside the club spilled onto the street outside of District 3.

"That led to somebody going to the car and getting their weapon," said Delgado.
According to Investigators, several people witnessed the shooting, one of which flagged down an officer for help, but it was too late. Terence Wilson, 23 was shot as he was walking to his car and died at the scene.
Delgado admits that last night was his first and last time going to District 3.
A spokesperson for TPD said that this club has been known to hire extra officers for tighter security in the past, but that did not happen Wednesday night.
