Jewelry making event at Canvas Zoo in Clearwater. Instructor Susan Sorensen will teach attendees how to use polymer clay and the basic ways to make a striking pattern. At the end of the class you will have a bracelet, necklace or simple pendant. Cost is $20. Attendees should RSVP
A craft beer party with a Salvador Dali museum! The 4th Annual 4th annual Liquid Desires Craft Beer Party celebrates Florida breweries and other unique craft brews with a vibe mirroring Dalí's fascination with double images, in celebration of the special exhibit, Marvels of Illusion. Admission is $50 for non-members, $35 for members.
At Lake Jorgenson behind the St. Petersburg Main Library and it's for adults, youth, and teens! Official fishing begins at 9:30 a.m. with nine to 15 minute fishing intervals. At the Lowry Park 12th Annual Zoo Run 5K. The run starts at 7:30 a.m. with check-in at 6:30 a.m. There is also a Fun Run at 9 a.m. The run winds through the zoo and along the Hillsborough River. People who participate also receive admission to the zoo on the day of the race. Walk-ups are accepted the day of the race and the last day for online registration is 5 p.m. on August 21
Hosted by Creative Loafing at MOSI, there will be over 90 local and national craft beers for people to sample. Starts at 8 p.m. and ends at 11 p.m.
It's the Craft Brew Fest in Sarasota from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Robarts Sports Arena. Admission costs $30 in advance $35 at the door. Admission gets unlimited craft beer samples, select food samples, non-alcoholic beverages, live music and a great time. Day of admission costs $55. Paddle Board Race
You can compete or just watch the fun. There's a 6-mile race and a 3-mile race. Unlimited divisions for men and women, boys and girls. Open to both beginners and pros, it takes place at Benderson Park. Free for spectators. 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. 2500 Honore Ave, Sarasota. See more here.
It's the 4th Saturday Market in Downtown Winter Haven. There will be food trucks, antiques, artists, hand mad goods, furniture, face paintings, kettle corn, live music and so much more. The event is free and so is parking. Lasts from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Medieval Fair Auditions
You read that correctly, here's your chance to audition for this year's Sarasota Medieval Fair. Auditions will be Saturday and Sunday at the Sarasota Fairgrounds Here's the audition schedule: Independent Performers: 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., General Cast: 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., Human Combat Chessboard Cast: 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. All ages welcome.
