Winter Haven, Florida -- The Winter Haven Police Department is searching for an armed and dangerous man wanted in connection with an assault incident Sunday.
Police are looking for 20-year-old Tamaries Delquan Richardson who was released from prison in May 2014 on weapons charges stemming back from 2012. He is considered armed and dangerous.
Detectives say Richardson, along with 20-year-old Damian R. Green and three or four other male subjects, were in a silver PT Cruiser riding through the parking area of Palm Place Apartments on the night of Aug. 24.
The vehicle approached Shanika Davis, 34, and Isaiah McGriff, 23, as they walked from Davis' apartment to her vehicle. Davis recognized the men inside of the car and reportedly saw a firearm in Richardson's right hand as he got out of the vehicle.
Richardson approached McGriff and threatened to shoot him, then walked around Davis' vehicle and threatened to shoot her as well. After pointing the gun at McGriff, Richardson passed the gun to Green, who held it in his hand.
Green also threatened to shoot the pair and indicated that he didn't care who he had to shoot, including police if they showed up. During this time, Davis retrieved a tire iron from her trunk. Richardson then took the gun back from Green and pointed the weapon at Davis threatening again to shoot her.
An unknown woman yelled to the group and the group of males, including Green and Richardson, walked to the center of the apartment complex. Davis immediately called 911 when she lost sight of the group.
When police arrived, Green was found at one of the apartments and a check found that he was on felony probation for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Green was positively identified as being in possession of the firearm along with threatening to shoot the victims. He was placed under arrest for Aggravated Assault with Firearm. Green was also charged with Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon, Violation of Probation and Armed Trespassing because the management had previously trespassed him from the property.
Green was released from Florida State Prison in August 2013 on charges of Aggravated Battery with A Deadly Weapon.
At this time, Richardson has not been located, but police obtained a warrant for his arrest. Charges on Richardson include Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon (F2), Aggravated Assault With Deadly Weapon (F3) and Violation of Probation.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Richardson is asked to call Heartland Crime Stoppers at 1-800-226-TIPS (8477). Callers can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a CASH reward.
