Tampa, FL-- Experts are predicting a 4 year low in gas prices this year for the holiday weekend.
Gas prices haven't been this low during a Labor Day weekend since 2010 but they are creeping up.
I spent the morning checking out gas prices around Tampa Bay.
I found gas at a St. Pete Race track on Gandy Blvd. listed at $3.25 and the same price at a shell gas station just down the road. A Sunoco on South Dale Mabry came in a little lower at $3.23 per gallon.
Despite rising demand according to Triple A record high oil production is keeping downward pressure on gas prices which should lead to another week of discounts at the pump.
The most updated fuel gauge report from Triple A has the national Average at $3.43 a gallon.
Here in the Tampa bay area we are getting more bang for our buck.
On average you will pay $3.25 a gallon that's up $0.05 from yesterday but still down $0.08 cents from just last month.
This time last year, we were paying $3.41 a gallon.
