Hardee County, FL - It was one week ago today that a dog now named "Hope" was found severely burned outside a home in Arcadia.

As Hope continues recovering at Blue Pearl Veterinary, we've learned her owner is not facing any charges in the case.

He told police he doesn't know what happened to her and now he wants her back.

The State Fire Marshal is investigating.

People interested in donating to Hope's care should make donations directly to HART, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that helps animals, via their website at hardeeanimalrescueteam.weebly.com

Anyone with any information related to the law enforcement aspect of Hope's case is requested to contact the Arcadia Police Department at 863-494-2222 or the Florida State Fire Marshal Arson Tip Hotline at 877-662-7766.
