New details emerge about the bus driver involved in a Dade City accident which killed a senior and injured two teens.
Dade City, Florida -- 10 News is learning more about the bus driver involved in an accident in Dade City that killed a senior, injured two teensand left a family devastated.
The special needs bus, driven by Bonita Mayle, rear-ended a Smart Car at the intersection of US-301 and Morningside Drive, injuring the driver.
The bus then continued on and T-boned a Chevvy Malibu being driven by 65-year-old Harian McDonald. She died at the scene. In her vehicle were two teens who were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Smart Care was flown to Lakeland Regional.
On social media, McDonald's heartbroken granddaughter, posted a photo of her and the grandma she calls "Nanny". The caption underneath, reads:
"Can't even deal with reality right now."
As for the 57-year-old bus driver, she has a clean driving record and has not yet been ticketed.
