St. Petersburg, Florida -- Ahead of this weekend's Firestone Grand Prix in St. Pete, one driver made a pit stop at Tampa General Hospital Wednesday.

Scott Hargrove met with pediatric patients to sign autographs, pose for photos with the kids and even hand out miniature racing cars!

Hargrove is British Columbia's youngest driver at just 19 years old.

"Kids love race cars, so when I can come out here and bring a smile to their face, it feels real good. It puts everyone in a good mood for the race weekend and hopefully shines a good light on what we're doing here this weekend," Hargrove told 10 News.
