Tampa, Florida -- One-by-one, people took to the mic and unleashed on Scott Trebatoski, the new director of the embattled Hillsborough County Animal Services. This, after a crowd of more than 200 became frustrated with what they called a "lack of information".
The crowd, many of whom are shelter volunteers, wanted specifics on why former successful programs were discontinued, why a portion of adoptable animals were not accessible to the public, and why portions of the shelter were closed off.
At times, frustration turned into heated exchanges and verbal attacks. After the meeting, Trebatoski tried explaining his difficulty in providing concrete answers.
