BRADENTON, Florida - After 10 Investigates pointed out improper signage at a busy red light camera intersection, the city is fixing the problem to come into compliance with state law.

Following a viewer tip, 10 Investigates reported the Eastbound approach on 6th Ave. W at US-301 didn't have the required "Photo Enforced" sign on the right side of the road. Instead, it was on the left side of the five-lane, one-way road. Hundreds of drivers receive tickets at the intersection each month, including many for "rolling right" turns.

On Friday, the city alerted 10 Investigates that it was in the process of adding the sign on the right side of the road so no more questionable tickets would be issued.

Attorneys say drivers who already paid their tickets are unlikely to get refunds but those who have not yet paid likely have solid ground for an appeal.
