ST. PETERSBURG, Florida -- Five meetings to help determine what becomes of the Pier are scheduled around the city in the next few weeks to give the public a chance to sound off.
The 21-person Working Group, appointed by Mayor Rick Kriseman in May, includes residents from neighborhoods, businesses and stakeholders from previous discussions on what to do with the Pier plan.
Participants at each of the meetings can complete a questionnaire on what should be included in the Pier's design, take part in a discussion and can talk with the Working Group.
The meetings will be held:
-- Thursday, June 19 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Childs Park Recreation Center, 4301 13th Ave. S.
-- Tuesday, June 24 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Coliseum, 535 Fourth Ave. N.
-- Thursday, June 26 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Roberts Recreation Center, 1246 50th Ave. N.
-- Monday, June 30 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Lake Vista Recreation Center, 1401 62nd Ave. S.
-- Wednesday, July 2 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at J.W. Cate Recreation Center. 5801 22nd Ave. N.
