Tampa, Florida -- Detectives have positively identified the body of a man found in a retention pond next to his home on E. 138th Ave. in Tampa.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, the victim's roommate saw 62-year-old Gary Tozzi walk out of the house two nights ago. Deputies say he might have been having some sort of delusions.

Tozzi reportedly shared the residence with several others in a group home setting. The roommates didn't notify the sheriff's office when Tozzi left and he wasn't reported missing.

After today's recovery of Tozzi's body, the initial preliminary on scene exam by homicide detectives as well as the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner revealed no visible signs of foul play.

However, authorities say these findings are preliminary in nature and are subject to change once a full autopsy can be completed and an official cause of death is determined.

Detectives have learned that Tozzi had been previously diagnosed with physiological issues and may have not been taking his prescribed medications.
