Mid-Atlantic Clothing (MAC) Recycling, a Maryland-based organization that collects used clothes for people in need, said it had a problem with thieves taking items from its collection bins, including one in the Georgia city of Douglasville.

To curb the thefts, MAC Recycling Atlanta territory manager Tim Peck placed a GPS monitor inside a Buzz Lightyear toy, then added the toy to a donated bag of clothing. This week, he received an alert that Buzz had been removed from the collection bin.

County investigators used the information to track Buzz to a house, where they found a suspect removing items from the back of a pickup truck.

The suspect, whose name was not released, admitted to stealing six large bags of clothing from the bin, according to authorities.

Police say they arrested the suspect after finding the Buzz Lightyear doll inside of his house.
