To most people, spiders are not a man's best friend.
Some panic just from the sight of them; other's just capture them and release them outside.
A Kansas woman decided to make sure there was no possible way of this spider laying eggs or coming back to her home by lighting it on fire.
This woman is now facing aggravated arson charges and is being held in the Reno County jail on a $7,500 bond.
Five fire departments units were called just past 1:30 AM after the 34-year-old, Ginny M. Griffith used a cigarette lighter to set fire to some towels in an attempt to catch the spider and kill it.
No one was injured from this fire and the building had some smoke damage.
Unfortunately for Ms. Griffith, the other half of the duplex was occupied—and firefighters found multiple points of origin for the fire—so the 34-year-old was arrested.
