St. Petersburg, Florida -- Last week the Obama administration announced it had exceeded its first goal for the Affordable Care Act, signing up more than seven million people by March 31st. Republican pundits didn't give the administration much time to celebrate.

This weekend on Fox News Sunday, Liz Cheney -- the former Senate candidate from Wyoming and daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney -- tried to take some wind out of the president's sails by saying the new healthcare law is still very unpopular.

"The poll numbers show this: the number of people that support Obamacare and like it have been steadily dropping. The latest Wall Street Journal polls show that," said Cheney.

That statement caught the attention of fact checkers at PunditFact. The new healthcare law is constantly the subject of polling and it's no secret a large number of Americans want it repealed. But Cheney suggested people increasingly want it repealed.

PunditFact looked at a pair of poll aggregator sites, Huffington Post Pollster and Real Clear Politics, that offer averages of several polls that give people an idea of the changing views of the new law since it's infancy. The aggregators find that the law does have more opponents than supporters.

"The healthcare law is generally unpopular," said PunditFact editor Aaron Sharockman. "Essentially about half of Americans generally don't like it, don't support it or disapprove of the healthcare law. But that has been very constant, really, since the healthcare law was passed."

On the other hand, Sharockman says support for the healthcare law have been constant, too.

"And this is the thing that Liz Cheney was talking about," said Sharockman. "That number has been pretty steady as well. Right now it's about 41-42%. So the number has been relatively flat, but it's certainly not dropping and it certainly hasn't been dropping steadily."

Because none of the polls -- not even the one Liz Cheney cited -- show supporters are steadily changing their minds about healthcare reform, PunditFact rated her claims FALSE.
