St. Petersburg, Florida -- If you want to take a peek behind the curtain and see how politics are played in this state get ready for a tell-all book from former GOP state party leader Jim Greer.
10 Investigates reporter Mike Deeson who has spent hours with Greer says several party leaders are expected to have mud on their faces when the book is released in June.
Greer who is finishing up his prison sentence for stealing money from the Republican Party of Florida has maintained all along he was framed and he is angry. Greer will be released from prison in June and that's when his tell-all book will be published.
The book, The Chairman: The Rise and Betrayal of Jim Greer, is already being advertised online and will paint a negative picture of many top of the state's politicians from Charlie Crist to Marco Rubio. Greer he says he saw it all when he was running the Republican Party of Florida.
When we talked to Greer Monday he reiterated what he told us in an interview two years ago saying, "I'm going to show these people that are running for higher office. I'm going to show the public what they truly are, which is a bunch of liars that will do anything and I mean anything to achieve that higher office."
Greer says when the public finds out what some of the political leaders of the state are really like, the public will be disgusted. He predicts the book will derail Charlie Crist's gubernatorial bid. Greer's coauthor Peter Golenback says that might be true if Crist weren't running against Rick Scott who he calls, "the worst Governor Florida has ever seen."
