(USA TODAY) -- Someone on House Speaker John Boehner's staff is monkeying around — seriously.
A video has been produced by the top Republican's staff that tells the tale of "The Monkey in the Room" — aka the plaything that resides on Boehner's coffee table. The toy is now the second-most-photographed thing in Boehner's office, with the top spot (of course) belonging to the speaker.
The monkey was a birthday gift to Boehner two years ago, after the speaker lamented in an interview that his always-crammed schedule made him feel like a wind-up toy.
Cue the image of Boehner, showing off the monkey to three cute little girls right out of central casting in their polka-dotted dresses.
"That's what I do all day," Boehner says. "Every 15, 30 minutes, they come in and wind me up and I do my thing."
Just watch for yourself.
