ST. AUGUSTINE, FL (FCN) -- Apparently too many people brought home the bacon on Saturday afternoon in St. Augustine.
According to reports, some vendors at the Bacon Nation Festival in the Nation's Oldest City ran out of bacon just two hours into the event.
Angry, bacon-loving-patrons posted angry comments on the Bacon Nation Festival Facebook page calling the event the "worst festival ever."
After Saturday's pork emergency, event organizer Joel Watson said nothing would stop people from getting their fill Sunday.
"The turnout has been bigger than we anticipated. We made some adjustments overnight to accommodate the crowds," Watson said.
Meanwhile, vendors said they're not letting the shortage keep them down.
"We got a lot more people than expected, but it's been fun. We're hanging in there," said Natalia Lorincz, who was serving up chicken and bacon quesadillas and bacon cheese fries from Mama's Food truck.
It was a shortage of another item that had Kevin Stack of Daytona Beach worried.
"Should've gotten napkins."
