Bartlesville, OK - It was one of the most unusual drug busts that they've ever had at the Bartlesville Police Department. It all started with a traffic violation, and what happened next, was all caught on camera.
This is Timothy Povlick. He was arrested for felony warrants, but check out that white baggie in his mouth. Police say it was for meth.
Officer Cheyenne Lee said he arrested the driver, Derek Boff, and placed him in the back seat. When Officer Lee returned to search the car, the two guys began to talk.
What they didn't realize is Bartlesville Police's new dash cams videos record audio.
Povlick: "We're going to have to be gay for a second."
According to the video, Bock tells Povlick he doesn't want him to die by eating all that meth, so the two decide to exchange the drugs.
Povlick: It's nasty bro, I'm telling you.
Boff: I know.
Povlick: Do you want it?
Boff: Try suck some of your saliva off of it and I will.
That's when the two kiss.
Povlick: Oh my god. You're sick.
Povlick: I'd swallow them if I was you, dude.
Povlick: Don't suck on them, swallow'em hommie.
After officer Lee brought them to the jail he went through the video.
Povlick eventually admitted he ate meth and had to go to the hospital where doctors had to work quickly to save his life.
Bartlesville Police say that without the audio on their dashcams these guys may have gotten away with a lesser charge because they wouldn't have been able to hear what they were saying.
