Houston (KHOU) -- After watching the surveillance video, you'll understand why Marcus Chukwe is happy to be alive.
Chukwe and his boss sustained minor injuries after they were intentionally struck by a car at a gas station in Southwest Houston.
The two men work as medical transporters, taking patients back and forth to doctors. At the end of their work day, they went to get some gas at the Fuel Depot.
According to Chukwe, a woman almost backed into him and his boss while they were filling up their vehicle at the gas station. "My boss was like, 'Whoa, don't kill us!'" said Chukwe.
He said the woman rolled down her window and started yelling at the pair, but he ignored her and the two men began to make their way inside to pay for gas. That's when surveillance video shows the woman stepping on the gas and hitting both of them.
"One moment I was standing, one moment I got hit, and one moment I was on the ground," said Chukwe.
The woman and a male passenger inside the car then sped off.
Paramedics told Chukwe he escaped death, with a cut down his spine, and bruised legs.
He now wants the woman behind bars.
"I would tell her to come forward. Were you that angry over words?" said Chukwe. "All he said was, 'Please don't hit us.'"
The suspect's car is a light blue or white Buick. Call Crime Stoppers with any information at (713) 222-TIPS.
