VERMONT (CBS12/AP) - A Vermont restaurant removed a bacon advertisement after online post by the woman said the sign was insensitive to those who do not consume pork.
She also said that as a Muslim, she was personally offended.
The restaurant is now being criticized for doing so.
Sneakers' menu features items including a breakfast sandwich with homemade turkey bacon. Owner Marc Dysinger says the sign was meant to be fun and to show the restaurant cares about Winooski, a city of 7,000 residents with many Muslim families, according to the Associated Press.
A Facebook page asked supporters to tell the restaurant how they feel about the decision. One person called Sneakers "spineless" and said she would not visit the restaurant "until you undo your silliness."
