Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reported on Twitter tonight that the Bucs and Lovie Smith are finalizing a contract for Smith to become the next head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Glazer says Smith quietly interviewed with the Bucs this week and the team moved quickly to make him their guy.

The Associated Press is reporting that former Minnesota Vikings coach Leslie Frazier will be the Buccaneers' defensive coordinator.

Lovie Smith was a linebackers coach for the Bucs under Tony Dungy from 1996-2000. He was head coach of the Chicago Bears from 2004-2012, leading them to the Super Bowl in the 2006 season.

Smith is 55 years old.
