I am a hometown guy! I was born in St. Pete and grew up in Clearwater. I graduated from USF in 2008. That's part of what makes working at 10 News so special for me.

I joined 10 News in August 2012. My first on-air TV job was in Lafayette, La. I hosted coaches shows for the University of Louisiana, covered the LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints as a Sports Reporter for KADN. From there, I moved on to KOTV in Tulsa, Okla. and spent three years covering the OU Sooners, OSU Cowboys, and University of Tulsa. I also covered the NCAA Tournament and NBA Finals.

I'm not a big award seeker. This past year was the first time I ever even submitted any of my work for judging. In my first try, I won a Florida Association of Broadcasters award for the top sports feature story in 2012. It was pretty cool winning an AP award.

When I'm not covering news, I am at home with my wife and our 3-year-old daughter. We like to swim in the pool and cook together. I also love golfing. I normally shoot in the mid-80s and am still looking for my first hole-in-one.

Here in Tampa Bay, I like being able to cover the teams that I grew up watching and cheering for. Instead of just seeing the Rays on TV, I get to interview the players after games. It's a childhood dream come true to be able to work where I do and have a job like mine.
