Here are this week's USA Today High School Sports Top 5 National Plays of the Week.
Our Number 1 play of the week courtesy Massillon High School in Ohio. Senior Marcus Whitfield blocks the Canton McKinley field goal attempt right before the half and after a mad scramble Alex Dailey finally comes up with the ball and returns it to the house for the score!
Number 2 comes from Kathleen High School in Lakeland. Quarterback Kevin Wilson bobbles the snap... then he picks up the ball... starts to run but decides to pull up and pass it to Ja'Von Harrison who makes a juggling catch and runs down the sidelines for the 73 yards touchdown.
Number 3 features Pulaski Academy in Little Rock Arkansas. Linebacker Tyler Colquitt playing some defense with this big hit on the Running Back to stop Sylvan Hills on 3rd and Goal.
Number 4 comes from Bishop Kenny High School in Jacksonville, Florida...Quarterback John Wolford rolls right then comes back to the left and he would find Kyle Stayer open in the far corner of the end zone.
And our Number 5 play is from Manteca (Man-teeka) High School in California.....Running Back Alex Laurel...takes the rock on the handoff... and Sweeps right......Nothing there......So he breaks left...hurdles one defender and outruns the rest of the defense for the touchdown!!
