Tampa, Florida -- Former Buccaneer cornerback and 10-year NFL veteran Ricky Reynolds has joined the Plant High School coaching staff this season, to coach defensive backs.
Ricky is one of 16 assistant coaches on Head Coach Robert Weiner's staff, as they played their Kickoff Classic Friday night against Armwood High School.
"We've got an incredible group of players," Reynolds told 10 Sports. "They're great to work with."
Reynolds said he was convinced to come to Plant by Defensive Coordinator James Harrell, another NFL veteran.
Reynolds was a second-round draft choice of the Bucs in 1987 out of Washington State. He played seven seasons with the Bucs, and three seasons with the New England Patriots. He finished his NFL career with 23 interceptions, and five touchdowns.
