TAMPA, FLA. -- It's not every day high school coaches get to pick the brain of a Super Bowl winning coach.

Today at Dick's Sporting Goods in Tampa, former Buccaneers head coach, Jon Gruden, hosted a football chalk talk clinic for local area high school programs. Gruden took questions and gave advice on player safety and drills.

Gruden, who's now a commentator for ESPN and Monday Night Football provided over ten programs football equipment and cameras to help in game preparation.

He also handed out checks for over a thousand dollars to each school.

"I hope each one of these checks, helps feeds some of these players," said Gruden.

"Everyone one of these coaches said these kids don't get enough to eat, they need chin straps they need helmets, they need equipment."

Partnering with Dick's Sporting Goods, Gruden looked excited to extend relief to the coaches and their teams.

Known as "Chucky" for his scowl during his coaching days, Gruden smiled quite a bit this morning, especially when speaking with PGA star John Daly.
