Tampa, Florida -- Jefferson quarterback Cade Weldon had a coming out party against Alonso with four touchdowns in the 28-12 Dragons victory.

The Berkeley Prep transfer hit Maurice Moore for a 13-yard touchdown in the second quarter for the games' first score. Weldon led the Dragons on another scoring drive on their ensuing possession. Anthony Nunno hauled in a Weldon quick step back 27 yard rainbow pass from the Dragons senior quarterback putting Jefferson up 14-0.

Alonso could do little to generate offense against the Dragons defense. Following another Jefferson defensive stand, Weldon connected on his third toss in to the endzone of the night, this time to Quinton Rogers.

It would have been a Jefferson blanking at the half if not for a 46-yard Jake Bryzenkski 44-yard field goal.

Bryzenski would split the up rights again in the third quarter pulling the Ravens with in 15. But Weldon and the Dragons offense went back to work, this time the Jefferson quarterback ran in a 25-yard touchdown. The victory kicks off the season for Jefferson and head coach Jeremy Earle at 1-0.
