Durham, N.C.-- Rays' outfielder Wil Myers began a rehab assignment with the AAA Durham Bulls and he could be playing in games by the weekend.

The Rays want Myers to get 40 to 50 at-bats before promoting him back to the parent club, which they hope will be in about two weeks.

Myers suffered a broken wrist May 30.

Myers told WRAL that he has his strength back, but regaining his hitting stroke is like being in spring training again.
