(CBS SPORTS/WTSP) -- The University of South Florida has hired Kentucky assistant coach Orlando Antigua as its next head basketball coach.
USF Athletics tweeted the announcement on Monday afternoon.
A press conference is expected to occur on Tuesday afternoon. Antigua is expected to remain with UK through the team's Final Four run.

Antigua was promoted to head coach of the Dominican Republic's men's national team last summer.
A 1995 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Antigua will replace Stan Heath, who was fired on April 14th after seven seasons.
The Bulls originally had a deal in place with Manhattan's Steve Masiello, which fell apart following a revelation that Masiello did not have an undergraduate degree from Kentucky, as stated on his resume.
