Largo, FL-- Crawford Ker gained fame in two years with the Florida Gators, and then seven years with the NFL's Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos.
But it's the last 20 years as the founder of Ker's WingHouse restaurants, that he's gained fortune. He has opened 24 restaurants in Florida.
And now a part of that is gone. Crawford Ker has sold his 24 restaurants, to an equity partner called "Third Lake". He'll remain with the company as CEO.
Terms weren't disclosed, but selling two dozen restaurants, will make you some money.
"It's been great," Ker told 10 Sports' Dave Wirth. "The customers wouldn't let an ex-Gator fail in the restaurant business. It was trial and error in the beginning, it was tough in the beginning. We've just been continuing moving forward."
Ker and the new owners have plans to expand the WingHouse franchise, in the state of Florida.
