Canton, Ohio -- Buccaneers' star linebacker Derrick Brooks, was presented with his Hall Of Fame gold jacket Friday night, by his son Decalon, who will present him at the induction ceremonies on Saturday.
Earlier in the day, Brooks spoke to reporters, and preferred to speak of the team's accomplishments, rather than his own.
"We were part of a franchise turnaround that made our organization relevant," said Brooks. "It made our Bay area relevant in football. It wasn't just the state of Florida and the Miami Dolphins. It was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, world champions, and we're here to stay."
Saturday morning, is the annual parade through the streets of Canton.
The induction ceremonies are scheduled for Saturday evening and Brooks is scheduled to speak first.
