38th Avenue North and 34 Street (U.S. 19) closed in St. Pete after traffic fatality
St. Petersburg, Florida -- The driver of one of four vehicles involved in a crash at a St. Pete intersection Thursday morning was killed and another was taken to the hospital for observation.
St. Pete Fire Rescue says when fire crews arrived at the scene at the intersection of 38th Avenue North and 34th Street (U.S. 19), they found three vehicles with heavy damage and another was rolled over on to its roof.
The driver of that vehicle was partially ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene. Two of those involved in the crash were treated at the scene and released. A fourth person was taken to Bayfront Medical Center.
The St. Pete Police Department is investigating the crash. The intersection will be closed for several hours during the investigation.
The identities of those involved have not been released at this time.
