10 News viewer Ryan emailed me there was a 4-foot-long pothole at 46th Avenue N. and 4th St. N. in St. Petersburg. He said, "I have sent 3 messages via the mayors action line with no resolution."
I contacted the St. Petersburg transportation division and the pothole was filled promptly.
The number for the St. Pete Mayor's Action Center is 727-893-7111, and the email address is firstname.lastname@example.org, but if you don't see your problem fixed within a couple of weeks, but sure to contact me like Ryan did.
And, in Tampa, 10 News viewer J.R. wrote to me about a portion of Sligh Avenue at 30th Street that had been closed for what seemed like an unusually long time. He said the closure was "creating a major inconvenience to the citizens who live in this area." I contacted the city of Tampa and learned that the closure was due to an emergency water main repair that led to more extensive joint repair over the course of several months. After my discussion with city engineers, the road opened later that afternoon.
