Wesley Chapel, Florida -- All lanes are back open after two major crashes shut down a large part of I-75 S in Pasco County Monday morning.

Charles Hostetter Jr., 36, of Brooksville, was killed in an accident around 6:40 a.m., just north of State Road 56, involving his Dodge Dakota pickup truck and two semi trucks.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers say Hostetter hit the back of a "low-boy" trailer being towed by a semi when he tried to change lanes. The impact caused Hostetter's truck to rotate and the front of the second semi hit the driver's side of the truck.

Troopers say the pickup truck had to be cut to pieces in order to extricate Hostetter. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two crashes on I-75 made driving difficult for motorists on Monday.

The crash closed portions of I-75 until approximately 10:30 a.m.

Another crash at State Road 52 involving three cars shut down another stretch of I-75. Bayflite was called out to this crash, but no fatalities are reported in this accident.
