Tampa, Florida -- The two outer southbound lanes on Ashley Drive and westbound lanes on Tyler Street from Ashley to Macinnes Place are closed while the Tampa Water Department repairs a 12-inch transmission line break.
Barricades and signs are located in the area to assist with detours and traffic flow. Drivers should seek alternate routes during this period.
Repairs are expected to be completed by 6 p.m., today. Restoration with a return to routine traffic patterns is expected to be completed by 3:30 p.m., Friday, August 22, weather conditions permitting.
The staff and crews of the Tampa Water Department appreciate everyone's patience during this time.
The John F. Germany Library, 900 N. Ashley Drive, announced that is is closing at 6 p.m. Tuesday due to the water main break. The library will reopen once the main is repaired.
