I was born in St. Petersburg and grew up on Treasure Island, always watching Dick Fletcher's weather on WTSP.
I have worked in every corner of Florida, from tracking hurricanes at WTVJ and WFOR in Miami to Tallahassee tornadoes. In Jacksonville, I covering the record 2004 and 2005 hurricane seasons at our our sister station WTLV.
I am Tampa's first AMS Certified Broadcast meteorologist on television. I received my Bachelors of Science at Florida State University and was selected from a competitive group of national journalists by the National Press Foundation for a fellowship at the Severe Storms Prediction Center.
I am passionate about weather, because my hobbies rely on it: surfing, boating, kiteboarding, travel. I DIY just make it.
The Suncoast is home and you can fine me diving offshore wrecks, seeking ethnic restaurants or enjoying the arts. The climate ties it together.
