The storm's maximum sustained winds Tuesday night are near 45 mph with additional strengthening forecast until it makes landfall. The U.S. National Hurricane Center says Dolly will approach Mexico's coast soon and move inland by Wednesday morning.

A tropical storm warning for Mexico's coast has been extended and now covers an area from Tuxpan to Barra el Mezquital.

Dolly is centered about 150 miles south-southeast of La Pesca, Mexico, and is moving west near 9 mph.
